A stylist for BLACKPINK shared about Jennie’s creative addition to the “How You Like That MV”
In a recent exclusive interview of Circle Chart (previously known as Gaon Chart), famous stylist Balko, who styled for BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That MV”, shared: “The body chain on Jennie’s red dress was actually Jennie’s idea herself. On Jennie’s fitting day, she suddenly suggested it would be good for an individual shoot with that on, so I made it the day after.”
The stylist also added that during a shoot, Jennie commented that it would be nice to have something under her eyes. It was this suggestion that prompted Balko to create the iconic “diamond tear” accessory for the female idol on the spot.
Previously in an interview with Rolling Stone India, Balko also revealed that the idea of utilizing hanboks came from Jennie, and both Jennie and Rosé contributed directly to some of the most iconic looks.
“The artists pulled off 80% and I only pitched in 20%”, the stylist commented as she showered BLACKPINK in praise.
