BLACKPINK is officially listed as the “Most-Streamed Girl Group on Spotify” by Guinness World Records 

On March 11th, YG Entertainment officially announced BLACKPINK was officially listed on Guinness World Records in the UK as “most streamed female group on Spotify.”

Considering that Spotify is the world’s largest music streaming platform used by more than 400 million people in 184 countries and is reflected in the U.S. Billboard main chart tally, that BLACKPINK was able to attain such status shows the heat of the girl group. 

Guinness said, “Their songs have a whopping 8,880,030,049 individual streams, overtaking the “British pop group Little Mix by 400 million streams.”

This marks BLACKPINK’s 20th Guinness record in their own Guinness records. They were previously recognized for their solo activities and as a group, including “Most Subscribers for a band on YouTube,” “First K-pop Female Group to reach No.1 on the UK/US albums chart”  and “Most Viewed YouTube Video in 24 Hours.” 

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently on their world tour “BORN PINK”  attracting about 1.5 million people.
