According to YG Entertainment and YouTube on February 21, BLACKPINK’s official YouTube channel exceeded 100 million subscribers at 7:31 p.m. the previous day. The achievement marks the first and highest record among all artists worldwide. Since launching their channel on June 28, 2016, the group reached this milestone in approximately 9 years and 8 months.
To commemorate the historic accomplishment, YouTube personally presented the members Jennie, Rosé, Jisoo, and Lisa with a specially produced Red Diamond Creator Award, a rare recognition reserved for creators who surpass 100 million subscribers.
YouTube praised BLACKPINK, stating that the group has captivated the world with intense energy and overwhelming performances, earning global acclaim through a series of mega-hit songs on the platform.

Lyor Cohen, Global Head of Music at Google and YouTube, described the achievement as “truly historic.” He said, “BLACKPINK’s milestone of reaching 100 million YouTube subscribers is unprecedented among artists worldwide. It proves how deep the bond is between BLACKPINK and their fans, and how uniquely powerful their global influence has become.”
He added, “Beyond being a milestone for K-pop, this is a perfect example of how artists can leverage YouTube to build a borderless mega-fandom. BLACKPINK is setting a new standard for true global superstars. Congratulations on this monumental moment.”
BLACKPINK’s YouTube records are nothing short of overwhelming. “DDU-DU DDU-DU” has surpassed 2.3 billion views, while “Kill This Love” has exceeded 2.1 billion views. In total, nine videos on their official channel have entered the “Billion Views Club,” each surpassing 1 billion views.

The group has 50 videos with over 100 million views, and their channel’s cumulative views have exceeded 41.2 billion. Three BLACKPINK songs rank within the Top 10 most-viewed music videos within 24 hours of release. Lisa’s solo track “LALISA” also secured a spot on that list. The group is officially listed in the Guinness World Records as the band with the most-viewed channel on YouTube.
Their growth shows no signs of slowing down. Over the past 12 months alone, BLACKPINK’s channel recorded more than 3.3 billion views. South Korea generated the highest number of views (over 277 million), followed by India (over 223 million), Indonesia (over 218 million), Mexico (over 182 million), the United States (over 180 million), and Brazil (over 168 million).
Subscriber growth has accelerated further since the group began promotions for their upcoming third mini album DEADLINE, set for release on February 27. Since the announcement video was unveiled on January 15, the channel has gained an average of 10,000 new subscribers per day.
As BLACKPINK approaches their 10th debut anniversary and prepares for their first full-group comeback in 3 years and 5 months, this latest achievement carries even greater significance solidifying their status as one of the most influential global acts of their generation.
