BIBI Joins Kim Nam-gil & Lee Ha-nee In “The Fiery Priest 2”
After releasing hit song “Bam Yang Gang, singer & actress BIBI is returning to the small screen through “The Fiery Priest Season 2”
According to insiders on March 27th, Sports Chosun reported, “BIBI has been cast to play a main character in Season 2 of SBS’s new drama ‘The Fiery Priest’ (written by Park Jae-bum, directed by Park Bo-ram)”.
“The Fiery Priest” depicts the next story of Season 1, which centers around a Catholic priest with an anger control disorder and Gundam Police Station detectives getting together for a collaborative investigation into the murder of an elderly priest. In the new season, the story will be about global drug dealers.
Apart from her successful comeback in the music industry with the song “Bam Yang Gang”, BIBI (real name Kim Hyung-seo) is also making remarkable moves in acting. In “The Fiery Priest 2”, she will take on the role of detective Goo Ja-young, a newly added character who is a member of an unknown team at the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency’s Narcotics Investigation Team. As such, BIBI’s character will work with Kim Hae-il (Kim Nam-gil), who is heading to Busan, and present exciting investigations.
As actress Kim Hyung-seo, BIBI has already challenged different roles in the movie “Hwaran” and Disney+’s original series “The Worst of Evil” so fans’ expectations for her performance alongside Kim Nam-gil in “The Fiery Priest 2”.
There is a high possibility that most actors in Season 1 of “The Fiery Priest” will reappear in Season 2. Kim Nam-gil plays the male lead Kim Hae-il, Lee Ha-nee portrays prosecutor Park Kyung-sun and Kim Sung-kyun is positively considering reuniting with the team as Goo Dae-young. It is difficult for all Season 1 actors to continue doing the next season together, but anticipation is high as Kim Nam-gil and several actors have agreed to join.
According to the plan, Season 2 of “The Fiery Priest 2” will begin filming in April.
