“Before filming the bed scene, the level of exposure suddenly rose” Sad reality revealed by an unknown actress
Actress Yeon Ji’s (Jung Woo Joo) post about Coupang Play’s web drama “Hit the Spot” belatedly draws attention.
On February 20th, a post was shared on a Korean online community with the title “The sadness of an unknown actress”.
It contains a post titled “If I exposed myself, would you only think of me as a ‘naked actor'” written by Yeon Ji on her Instagram on November 16 last year.
In the post, Yeon Ji revealed that she received an unexpected contact from the casting director regarding a role cast through two meetings with the web drama director.
According to Yeon Ji, the casting director at the time asked Yeon Ji, “The director raised the level of exposing the underwear to the chest and buttocks. On the set, the main parts will be covered, can you do it?”
Yeon Ji said, “It wasn’t because of the shame of taking off all my clothes in front of many people on set or the fear of being seen by more people. I was worried that I would only take on roles where I take off my clothes after filming this bed scene.”
Afterwards, after thinking about it, Yeon Ji said, “I will do it,” and practiced six positions repeatedly with a male actor for about two hours. “The director confidently told me he would produce the scene beautifully. So I endured it,” he recalled.
However, Yeon Ji said, “When I returned home, I faced myself with almost erased makeup and an unknown expression. It’s because it was my first time. An actor’s body is also a tool. It’s your choice. There must be something to learn. It’s better to do it and regret it than not doing it.”
Yeon Ji said that she had signed an agreement stating that she had fully listened to the director’s explanation of exposure prior to the main shoot. She was concerned, “I’m just a little scared that the way people look at me might change.”
In a post titled “It was too late to be an actor” posted on January 7 last month, Yeon Ji also revealed her impressions of watching the web drama that included her bed scene.
She said in the post, “My appearance in the 40-minute drama episode was four minutes. The bed scene took up four to two minutes. My breasts, buttocks, and moaning sound in the camera were, what to say, I never watched it twice.”
