Before becoming famous Kpop idols, these 5 stars once were classmates at Hanlim Art School!
Wouldn’t it be great if you could study with not one but many Kpop idols?
Many celebrities try to finish their academics despite making their debut at a young age and having busy schedules. Art schools like SOPA or Hanlim are where the idols spend their youth years in order to have the greatest conditions to pursue their passions. As a result, many idols were classmates before becoming colleagues in the K-pop industry.
Recently, netizens got excited when a photo of an idol class at Hanlim Art School was shared again. Interestingly, netizens discovered Yugyeom (GOT7), Kino (PENTAGON), Hyunjae (THE BOYZ), Woong (AB6IX) and Seungyeon (UNIQ) in this photo.
It’s already notable to have one or two idols in the same class. When there are five debuting idols in this Hanlim school’s class, it becomes even more unique. Few would have predicted that these little boys would become famous idols.
Yugyeom became a JYP trainee and debuted with GOT7 in 2014. Although he is the youngest, he possesses an impressive height and dancing talent.
Yugyeom once won the show “Hit The Stage”. In 2021, 7 GOT7 members did not renew their contracts with JYP. Therefore, Yugyeom later joined AOMG, and made a solo debut with the album “Point Of View: U“.
Kino was a trainee under JYP for a while before moving to Cube and made a debut with PENTAGON. The boy group is highly appreciated for its talent and quality music products, but unfortunately, they have not built a solid foothold in the K-pop market. PENTAGON is one of the teams that attracted attention when participating in the program “Road To Kingdom”.
Hyunjae made his debut in a group with a big number of members, yet he has maintained his popularity. Because of his appearance as a comic character, the male idol has caused a social media frenzy on several occasions. Hyunjae‘s tall, muscular physique, as well as his ideal height of 1m81, help him readily grab the spotlight wherever he goes. Due to his excellent appearance, the male idol received numerous offers to take photos for magazines.
Woong made his debut in 2019 with AB6IX. The boy band of Brand New Music has gotten a lot of attention because four of its members took part in the hit reality show Produce 101. Only one month after debuting, AB6IX got off to a good start by winning a trophy on a music show. However, the boy group’s popularity faded with time. Leader Lim Youngmin left the group after a personal scandal, causing them to fall into a difficult situation.
Seungyeon made his debut as a member of UNIQ, a Korean-Chinese boy band. Following that, the male idol competed in the Produce X 101 talent show and gained a debut slot. Unfortunately, X1 had to disband early owing to the vote fraud issue. After that, Seungyeon works as a solo artist with high-quality products.
Meanwhile Jaehyun (Golden Child), Xiao (UP10TION) and Joo Haknyeon (The Boyz) studied together at Halim Arts High School.
The class of DK (SEVENTEEN), Cheng Xiao (WJSN), Yuju (GFriend), Jiho (Oh My Girl) and Minju (I.C.E) also became a legendary class at SOPA.
The school images of Kpop idols always make fans extremely excited. This must be every fangirl’s dream class!
