“Bad Mom” starring Ra Mi Ran, Lee Do Hyun, and Ahn Eun Jin promises to be a healing comedy drama
Ra Mi Ran, Lee Do Hyun, and Ahn Eun Jin are returning in the new drama “Bad Mom”, a warm and comforting comedy.
JTBC’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “Bad Mom” tells the story of Young Soon (Ra Mi Ran), who has no choice but to become a bad mom for her son, and Kang Ho (Lee Do Hyun), who becomes a prosecutor like his mom’s wish but loses his memory and turns into a child again in an unexpected accident.
“Bad Mom” is described as a touching and healing drama. The story of a mother and child who set out to find true happiness only after everything is “reset” will give viewers a pleasant laugh and at the same time, bring tears to their eyes.
Director Shim Na Yeon of “Beyond Evil”, who was honored with the Best Drama Award at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards, and writer Bae Se Young, who has been recognized for her sensuous writing skills through “Life is Beautiful”, “Extreme Job” and “Intimate Strangers”, are working together in “Bad Mom”. Expectations are higher than ever for a touching and healing drama that will be completed with a solid lineup of cast and crew. Ra Mi Ran plays Young Soon, a bad mom who has lived a tenacious life to protect her child. She raised her son alone while running a pig farm. She claims to be a bad mom in order not to pass on her pain. Ra Mi Ran will make viewers laugh and cry by portraying Young Soon and her change throughout the story. Expectations are high on how “acting master” Ra Mi Ran, who can pull off any genre and role in her own way, will portray the special motherly love of Young Soon. Lee Do Hyun will transform into the son Kang Ho, a prosecutor who loses his memory and thinks like a little child after an unexpected accident. Kang Ho, who spent his whole life doing things as his mother planned, became a cold-hearted prosecutor with his own secret. When he decided to ignore his mother and run toward success, Kang Ho became a little child due to an unexpected accident and began to live a new life with his bad mom. Lee Do Hyun, who recently proved his value as a trustworthy actor in “The Glory”, will lead this drama as Kang Ho by going back and forth between a cold prosecutor who never sheds a tear or blood and a child. The actor is expected to make another impressive character transformation through this drama. Mi Joo, Kang Ho’s longtime friend and resting place, will be played by actress Ahn Eun Jin. Mi Joo is a character with a deep heart who can’t stand injustice. Returning to her hometown after losing everything, including love and honor, Mi Joo reunites with Kang Ho, who has turned into a child, and faces a change in her life. Ahn Eun Jin, who has gained recognition for her solid acting skills and personality, is expected to shine once again in “Bad Mom”. The actress said, “The script was very interesting. I wanted to participate in the work as Mi Joo, who lives a confident and bright life even when facing hardships and adversities.
