YG general producer Yang Hyun Suk revealed his great expectations for BABYMONSTER Thai member Chiquita.
On February 22nd, a video titled “BABYMONSTER – Introducing CHIQUITA” was published on the official YouTube channel of YG’s upcoming girl group BABYMONSTER.
According to the video, BABYMONSTER member Chiquita, who was born in 2009, joined a YG audition in Thailand in March 2021, and was casted for her outstanding talents. Regarding his first impression with Chiquita, Yang Hyun Suk said, “My first impression of Chiquita was from that first monthly evaluation. I knew immediately I had to make her part of the project than trainees that trained for 5~6 years. She’s the youngest and the last to join the BABYMONSTER project.”
In the same video, Chiquita also had the chance to meet fellow Thai member Pharita, as well as BLACKPINK Lisa. Here, Lisa gave a lot of thoughtful advice to her juniors.
Upon seeing the BLACKPINK member, Chiquita couldn’t hold back her admiration and said, “Lisa is so pretty and cute. She’s so good at dancing and so cool, it’s hard to take my eyes off her when I see her on stage.”
In her handwritten letter addressed to Lisa, Chiquita also wrote, “Sister LISA, you’re my idol and someone who inspires me. I tell my mom everyday that I’m going to be like you one day. I love you.”
Finally, Yang Hyun Suk expressed his huge expectations towards Chiquita, saying, “From a producer’s perspective, it’s very clear that Chiquita is a special kid. I really hope in the future, she’ll be popular just like Lalisa (Lisa) and practice global influence.”
