Japanese manga artist Takahashi Kazuki, who was behind the world-famous series “Yu-Gi-Oh!” was found deceased at sea.
On July 7th, the Japanese broadcasting station NHK and other forein media reported that Kazuki Takahashi, the author of the popular shounen manga “Yu-Gi-Oh!”, was found dead on the beach. He is 60 years old.
“At 10:30 AM, on July 6th, the body of a man wearing a snorkeling device was found floating off the coast of Nago City in Okinawa Prefecture, and as a result of identification, the man was confirmed to be Kazuki Takahashi, who was behind the global hit manga series “Yu-Gi-Oh!”,” NHK announced.
The Japanese broadcasting station also added that the cause of death was presumed to be drowning after a snorkeling accident, and police are currently investigating the whereabouts and circumstances of Kazuki Takahashi’s passing.
The news has caused great grief among manga lovers around the world, as well as fans of “Yu-Gi-Oh!”, which is so popular it has its own card game with global tournaments.
