Following the passing of ASTRO Moonbin, the fan concert tour “MOONBIN & SANHA” has been called off.
On April 24th, ASTRO’s Japanese agency posted an announcement on the local fan club website that reads, “The ‘2023 MOONBIN & SANHA FAN CON TOUR: [DIFFUSION] IN JAPAN,’ which was scheduled to be held on May 20th, has been canceled.“
They apologized to those who were looking forward to the concert, saying, “We are truly sorry. We will announce the sale of concert merchandise and other details at a later time.“
Regarding the special events such as the delivery of the postcards for the third mini-album of the subunit Moonbin & Sanha, they said, “We will inform you after consulting with Fantagio. Thank you for your understanding.”
Initially, through the activities of the unit Moonbin & Sanha, the two idols were scheduled to hold fan concerts in Tokyo on May 20th, Osaka on May 22nd and 23rd, and other places.
However, due to Moonbin’s passing, the concert schedule has been canceled. Moonbin &bSanha had planned fan concerts not only in Japan but also in Macau, Taipei, Brazil, Chile, and Mexico.
Meanwhile, Moonbin was found dead at his home in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on April 19th at 8:10 p.m KST. The funeral service for Moonbin was held at the Seoul Asan Hospital Funeral Home on April 22nd.
The funeral was held privately with only family members and ASTRO members in attendance. The burial was also kept private at the request of the family.
