On September 5th, the press conference of tvN’s weekend drama “Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon” was held. Director Kim Kwang Sik, writer Kim Young Hyun, writer Park Sang Yeon, and the cast including Jang Dong Gun, Lee Joon Gi, Shin Se Kyung, and Kim Ok Bin attended.

“Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon” is a new name for “Arthdal Chronicles” Season 2, depicting the fateful story of Tagon (played by Jang Dong Gun), Eunseom (played by Lee Joon Gi), Tanya (played by Shin Se Kyung), and Taealha (played by Kim Ok-bin) as they write different legends in the mythical land of Arthdal. It is set 8 years after “Arthdal Chronicles.”

Jang Dong Gun said, “I’m glad to meet you again in Season 2.” Lee Joon Gi added, “I am honored to play both Eunseom and Saya.”

Writer Kim Young Hyun described Season 2 as “a time just before a clash in the land of Arth,” and director Kim Kwang Sik encouraged anticipation for the action.

Jang Dong Gun explained that in Season 2, Tagon, who was once relentless in pursuing his desires and ambitions, now becomes a king. Lee Joon Gi expressed his excitement about their characters’ development and reunion.

Shin Se Kyung talked about her character’s growth during the chaotic times and the interesting aspects of portraying a character with a high social status.

Kim Ok Bin discussed her character’s evolution from a fiery personality to a more rational and ambitious one due to past betrayals.

Writer Kim Young Hyun talked about the casting process and how they convinced the actors to join the series, particularly emphasizing the changes in their characters.

Lee Joon Gi and Shin Se Kyung shared their thoughts on joining the drama, with Lee Joon Gi expressing his excitement and worry about taking on the role.

The production team discussed the possibility of a Season 3, hinting that while Season 2 concludes the story, there may be room for exploring the lives of the surviving characters after the ending.
