Appearing on a recent podcast, Ariana Grande revealed that she does not plan to perform for an extended period following her 2026 Eternal Sunshine world tour.
She explained that the upcoming tour “might be [her] last stage for a while,” adding, “I don’t want to say it definitively, but I want to rest for a long time afterward.” Her tone suggested exhaustion, alarming fans worldwide.

This is not the first time Ariana has suggested stepping away from music. Back in 2020, she stated that she would stop releasing music after her album Positions — a promise she later retracted after starring in the film Wicked and releasing her latest album Eternal Sunshine.
The retirement talk comes as Ariana faces renewed speculation about her relationship with actor Ethan Slater, who was previously known to be her romantic partner.
Rumors resurfaced when Ethan recently appeared on NBC’s Today Show and avoided answering a question about “what it’s like working every day with your girlfriend.” His hesitant response fueled speculation that the couple may have split.

Ariana and Slater grew close while filming Wicked, with dating rumors surfacing in July 2023. Slater filed for divorce from his wife shortly after, while Ariana ended her own marriage around the same time. Because both were married when their relationship allegedly began, the two were engulfed in affair accusations accusations that remain unaddressed publicly to this day.
As Ariana prepares for what may be her final world tour for the foreseeable future, fans are left wondering whether the pop icon is truly stepping away and what personal challenges may be influencing her decision.
