An unexpected incident occurred during (G)I-DLE’s performance at a KBS’s show, causing Yuqi and Shuhua to be shocked

What had happened that shocked the (G)I-DLE members?

(G)I-DLE officially returned to the Kpop race with the full album I NEVER DIE and the title song TOMBOY on March 14. This is the group’s first music product after 1 year and 2 months of hiatus due to former member Soojin’s school violence scandal.

TOMBOY quickly received a very positive response from the Korean audience and is approaching the Realtime All-kill achievement.

Recently, (G)I-DLE appeared at KBS’s Idol’s Snack Spree show to promote the new album.  In the opening part, the CUBE girl group performed a short part of the song TOMBOY.  However, the interesting expressions of two members Yuqi – Shuhua when hearing the word “F*ck” in the chorus caused a stir on social media.

The cause of this panic is said to be because KBS mistakenly played the TOMBOY CD Only version – the original version containing many swear words that only fans who bought the album could hear, not the Clean version as in the MV.

Previously, KBS announced that both versions of TOMBOY did not match the station’s broadcasting standards.  The CD version had many inappropriate words, while the Clean version contained the brand name, so the group had to revise the lyrics three times.  However, now at a program produced by this station, the CD version of TOMBOY was played, surprising the (G)I-DLE members themselves. 

Many fans also thought it was ironic that KBS played the original version of the song on its show while having strict censorship requirements before.

Many fans found it funny as the girls sang the song themselves but were shocked to hear the swearing in the song.
