Making a comeback with the 5-member formation, (G)I-DLE shared, “During our 1-year hiatus? Foreign members took a break in their hometowns”

The group (G)I-DLE released the latest status of their hiatus. 

An online showcase commemorating the release of (G)I-DLE‘s (Miyeon, Minni, Soyeon, Woogi, Shuhua) first full-length album “I NEVER DIE” was held on March 14th. 

I NEVER DIE” is an album that contains (G)I-DLE‘s feelings and thoughts, not only about what they have experienced, but also about all prejudices in the world. The title song ‘TOMBOY‘ is a song that fully reveals (G)I-DLE‘s unique confident attitude.

Earlier, in August 2021, member Seo Soojin departed from the group after being accused of bullying classmates in her school days. When asked how she felt about the first promotion after the new formation as a five-member group, Shuhua replied, “I was looking forward to it as it was a comeback after a long absence. I want to show you a lot of good performances as I have prepared a lot.” 

In addition, regarding their one-year hiatus, Minnie said, “During our hiatus, foreign members such as I, Yuqi, and Shuhua returned to our respective hometowns to relax and engage in many local activities.  At the same time, in Korea, Miyeon worked in various area, including MC-ing and acting, while Soyeon released an album and worked as a survival program mentor. I’m so proud of them,” she said.

Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE‘s first full-length album “I NEVER DIE” will be released on various online music sites at 6 p.m.  Mar 14th.
