Actor Jung Man-sik got married in 2013. The couple has been married for almost 10 years.
Jung Man-sik once expressed affection towards his wife, “My wife is a religion. If my wife doesn’t answer the phone, I think I’ll go crazy.” It is known that Jung Man-sik tells his wife “I love you” more than 50 times a day.
How did the two meet and get married?
The two first met through the Miryang Theater Festival. Korean theater actor Jung Man-sik met his wife, Japanese theater actress Linda Jeon, like this.
However, Linda Jeon said that her first impression of Jung Man-sik was not good because of his intimidating appearance, unsophisticated image and too much swearing.
Linda Jeon recalled, “My first impression of him was really bad. I think it was the first time I’ve seen such an unsophisticated person in my life. He was simply ignorant. His remarks started and ended with swear words. When he approached me, I said coldly, ‘Get lost.'”
Jung Man-sik shared, “As she kept telling me to get lost, I felt like ‘I need to try more’. Even though (my wife) is a year younger, we met as friends at first. My wife didn’t want to lose, so she lied about her age for about a year.”
Afterwards, Jung Man-sik smiled embarrassedly, saying, “I watched my wife silently, but I guess that’s not how she fell for me.”
The two eventually got married after 4 years of long-distance dating between Japan and Korea. Linda Jeon registered for marriage 3 days after coming to Korea, and got married after 5 days.
Jung Man-sik defined his wife, “My parents gave birth to me and raised me, but my wife is the decisive person who made me a human being.” Unlike his appearance, he seems to have a lot of cuteness.
His wife Linda Jeon is a talented person who completed her doctorate’s degree in Japanese arts. She is also the king of Korean-Chinese-Japanese cuisine, a simultaneous Japanese interpreter, actress and performance director.
Jung Man-sik was so well-built that he worked part-time as a health trainer, and mainly played villains and rough acting. He made his face known through “Breathless”.
