All photos of Lisa taken for a famous fashion magazine in China have suddenly been removed

Chinese netizens worry that Lisa’s image will be negatively affected after the singer becomes the cover of Harper’s Bazaar.

Chinese netizens are extremely worried after a series of new photos of Lisa (BLACKPINK) taken for the April cover of Harper’s Bazaar China were suddenly deleted hastily on Weibo.  Fans are trying to find out the cause of the incident, especially when Bazaar magazine released a photo of Lisa just a few days ago.  Meanwhile, netizens have been debating fiercely because Lisa was entangled in a recent controversy.

On Weibo, Chinese netizens began to guess the reason behind the incident. Some people believe that this is the consequence after some fashion brands refused to use Xinjiang cotton, which resulted in these brands being boycotted in China. A series of Chinese stars also canceled contracts with famous brands after this incident.  One of the brands that is most attacked by Chinese netizens is Adidas, which BLACKPINK is representing for.

Amid this cult scandal, Lisa became the cover of Harper’s Bazaar, so she accidentally got caught up in netizen criticism.  Some comments expressed harsh attitudes: “Is Lisa the coach in the Chinese show?”, “I object to Bazaar with the image of Lisa”, “Why do they have to choose a Korean idol when there are many celebrities in Cbiz?”, … 

The NetEase site said that Harper’s Bazaar was under too much pressure, so they had to remove pictures related to Lisa on Weibo.  Even so, the wave of anger hasn’t stopped.  Lisa’s pictures taken for Harper’s Bazaar are still widely shared on Weibo.
