AleXa visited the US Embassy in Korea to discuss K-pop’s vision with the US ambassador

American-Korean K-pop star AleXa was invited to the US Embassy in Korea.

On June 30th, AleXa received an official invitation to visit the US Embassy in Korea and had a meaningful time while discussing various topics, including K-pop, with Christopher Del Corso, US Ambassador to Korea.

The meeting was held as part of AleXa’s winning the American Song Contest (ASC), a large-scale singing competition program in the US. Since AleXa’s trophy was broken when she was crowned the winner, she was presented with a new trophy re-created by the ‘ASC’ on the same day by ambassador Christopher Del Corso.

At the US Embassy, AleXa shared her experiences at ‘ASC’ in a friendly atmosphere with Christopher Del Corso. In addition, they discussed ways to cross-promote the cultures of Korea and the US through artists and the media in the performing arts field.

Regarding this invitation, AleXa expressed her gratitude, saying, “It was like a dream to win the ‘ASC’, and it is an honor to be invited to such a meaningful event. I was a little upset that the trophy was broken during the delivery process, but it is even more meaningful to be able to receive it again at the US Embassy like this. I’m happy to be able to have many meaningful conversations in a meaningful place that connects Korea and the US. I will do my best to promote active exchanges between K-pop and the US cultural industry in the future.”

Meanwhile, AleXa will hold a mini-concert ‘Welcome to Wonderland’ at Space Brick in Hongdae on July 2nd and meet her fans in person.
