AKMU confirms summer comeback this August after 2-year hiatus

Brother & sister duo AKMU (Lee Chan Hyuk & Lee Soo Hyun) will return with a new song this summer.

According to a report by Edaily on July 25th, AKMU will break the silence of their long break and release a new song at the end of August.

This will be their newest music release after two years since the collaboration album “NEXT EPISODE”, which was released in July 2021.

Featuring various singers, including IU, Lee Sun Hee, Zion.T, Beenzino, Jannabi Choi Jung Hoon, Crush, and Sam Kim, AKMU’s last album presented their wide music spectrum and brought various experiences to listeners.

During AKMU’s hiatus, Lee Chan Hyuk announced his first step as a solo artist 8 years after his debut by releasing his first full album “ERROR”. Since then, he has consistently showcased his impressive musicality through various activities, such as introducing project group ‘Lee Chan Hyuk’s Video’ album.

In the meantime, Lee Soo Hyun sang OSTs for the dramas “My Liberation Notes” and “Curtain Call”. She recently greeted the public as an MC for Netflix’s entertainment program “19/20”.
