Dancer Aiki’s side made an official announcement regarding the controversy over dance crew Hook canceling their show at a club.
On the morning of June 26th, Aiki‘s agency ESteem Entertainment said through their official SNS, “On the evening of Friday, June 24th, we were offered the performance through a related performance agency. After receiving the proposal for the performance, we were positively reviewing Aiki’s appearance, but we judged that it would be difficult for her to appear due to her schedule.”
They continued, “In the meantime, we confirmed that the club name as well as the information about the event were different, so we finally decided that it would be difficult for Aiki to appear. We expressed our intention of refusing to appear within an hour.”
Aiki’s side refuted, “We would like to inform you that the contract and guarantee paid for all Hook members (claimed by the club Newflow) is not at all true. This contract was unilaterally carried out by the performance agency and the club Newflow without any consultation with us. We, Aiki and Hook members were not involved, and we made it clear that there was no prior sharing regarding the contract and guarantee payment.”
They added, “In this regard, we emphasize that we and Aiki explicitly stated whether or not to appear, and that the contract and guarantee payment were made between the performance agency and the club without any consultation with us. We once again express regret for the illegally commercial use of the logo of the crew which appeared on Street Woman Fighter, which was not discussed in advance due to an error in the communication process between the performance agency and the club, and all the false facts claimed by the club Newflow. We will take strong actions against those who ruin Aiki and Hook members’ reputation.”
