LE SSERAFIM has entered the US Billboard chart for 17 consecutive weeks with their debut song “FEARLESS”.
According to the latest chart (as of September 3) released by American music media Billboard, on the 30th (local time), LE SSERAFIM’s title “FEARLESS” ranked #160 on “Billboard Global (excluding the US)” for 17 weeks in a row. With such an achievement, LE SSERAFIM broke the record for the longest Billboard chart-in songs among Kpop idols who debuted in 2022.
LE SSERAFIM remains at the top of Billboard charts as well as various Korean music chart. Their debut song “FEARLESS” ranked 10th on the latest “Weekly Global K-Pop” chart (from August 14 to 20) of the Circle Chart (formerly Gaon Chart) and 14th on the latest “Weekly Top Song” chart (from August 19 to 25). The song also ranked 22nd, 23rd, and 30th on Melon, Bugs, and Genie’s latest weekly charts (from August 22 to 28), respectively, showing an unending remarkable performance.
LE SSERAFIM debuted on May 2nd with a six-member lineup consisting of Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Hu Yunjin, Kazuha, Kim Garam, and Hong Eunchae. However, after Kim Garam became embroiled in a controversy over school violence, she halted her activities immediately after her debut, and eventually left LE SSERAFIM two months after.
Despite this departure and various contingent issues, LE SSERAFIM boasts a strong popularity, leading to rising expectations about what kind of music they will release in the future.
