After Criteria Change, SBS Best Couple Award Still Went To “My Demon” Kim Yoo-jung ♥ Song Kang
The 2023 SBS Drama Awards was held at 8:40 p.m. on December 29th (KST) at SBS Prism Tower in Seoul with Shin Dong-yup and Kim Yoo-jung as hosts. In this event, Kim Yoo-jung and Song Kang won the Best Couple Award.
Prior to the ceremony, fans voted for the Best Couple Award on SBS’s official website from the 18th to the 27th. Controversies arose as SBS revealed in the last minute that winners would be selected based on the results of the website vote, production team votes, ratings, and other factors.
The Best Couple award eventually still went to Kim Yoo-jung and Song Kang from the drama “My Demon.” However, Song couldn’t attend the ceremony due to personal reasons.
In her acceptance speech, Kim Yoo-jung said, “Thank you so much for watching ‘My Demon’.” “I want to say thank you to the fans. I want to say thank you to Song Kang’s fans on behalf of him. Other nominees are amazing. Thank you to the staff of ‘My Demon’ for working hard to make an amazing show. I will deliver the award to Song Kang. Thank you.”
