After Controversy Over ITZY’s Ryujin, Rapper Owen Dissed LE SSERAFIM For Poor Live Singing Skills
Rapper Owen seems to target the singing skills of popular girl group LE SSERAFIM.
On March 19, rapper Owen posted a video of him freestyle rapping on his Instagram account, tagging LE SSERAFIM’s official account.
In the short video, Owen began rapping while dancing and shouted, “LE SSERAFIM’s ‘EASY’ Remix”. Owen criticized LE SSERAFIM’s singing ability with the rap lyrics, “LE SSERAFIM EASY EASY, it’s a secret that you can’t sing live.”
Holding an object that appears to be a fake gun, he continued the performance by shouting, “I’m Korea, don’t pick a fight, then I’m going to shoot you all dead, bang bang bang.”
Internet users expressed various opinions regarding the video, leaving comments such as “Someone confiscate his phone please,” “He’s back,” “I’m happy to start Instagram again,” and “As expected, a trouble maker.”
Previously, Owen was criticized in 2021 for leaving somewhat inappropriate comments toward Ryujin, a member of the JYP girl group ITZY. At the time, an Internet user commented under his rap video, “Honestly, I think Ryujin is better at rapping,” and he wrote back, “She conceived and gave birth to my rap sperm.” ITZY fans who saw this complained that the comment was inappropriate.
