aespa to be the first K-pop group to perform at the U.S. Governors Ball Music Festival 

“Metaverse group” aespa achieves another new record.

aespa will be the first K-pop group to attend the ‘2023 Governors Ball Music Festival’ to be held at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in New York from the 9th to the 11th of June. The girl group is expected to draw explosive attention from global music fans as they will perform on the main stage.


The Governors Ball Music Festival is New York’s annual outdoor music festival that lasts three days. Artists of different music and art genres are invited to decorate 4 stages of the festival with about 70 performances. Apart from aespa, many world-class musicians, such as EMINEM, Kanye West, Halsey, Billie Eilish, Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone, etc. This year, LIZZO, ODESZA, and Kendrick Lamar will perform as headliners.


Earlier, aespa successfully made their first debut live stage in the U.S. at the (Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the largest outdoor music festival in the U.S. The girls also aroused keen interest from local audiences with powerful performances as the first K-pop girl group to appear at the GMA 2022 Summer Concert Series held every summer by ABC Channel’s representative morning show “Good Morning America (GMA)”. Therefore, expectations are high for the stage that aespa will present this time.
