Billboard released the top 10 albums of “Billboard 200” (week of July 23rd) on its homepage on July 17th (local time).
aespa debuted at #3 on the main chart “Billboard 200” with their second mini-album “Girls”. It is their first time to enter the top 10.
aespa ranked 20th on “Billboard 200” with their first mini-album “Savage” last year. They ranked third with this time’s album, achieving the highest ranking for a K-pop girl group this year.
They are on a record march. “Girls” exceeded 1.61 million pre-orders. This is the highest pre-order record for a K-pop girl group.
They also became the girl group with the highest first-week sales. According to Circle Chart’s announcement, aespa sold 1,426,487 copies in the first week. They were the first girl group to become a million seller with first-week sales.
Meanwhile, aespa will appear on KBS-TV’s “Music Bank” on July 22nd and SBS-TV’s “Inkigayo” on July 24th.
