‘Metaverse girl group’ aespa has successfully finished their first-ever Coachella performance.
On April 23 (local time), aespa drew attention from global music fans with an epic performance as part of 88 Rising’s ‘Head In The Clouds Forever’ set at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival held in California.
The opening song of aespa’s stage was the b-side track ‘aenergy’ from their first mini-album ‘Savage’, followed by all aespa’s famous title tracks including ‘Black Mamba’, ‘Next Level’, and ‘Savage’. aespa also brought a performance of the English version of the unreleased track ‘Life’s Too Short’ specially prepared for Coachella.
This is not only aespa’s first live stage at America’s biggest music festival, but also the group’s first time since their late 2020 debut performing in front of such a large audience in the cheers and screams of audiences.
During aespa’s performance, they received explosive responses from locals and sky banners prepared by fans to show support for aespa members can also be seen at the Coachella venue, proving the group’s popularity.
Previously, aespa achieved back-to-back success with the release of three consecutive hits from their debut single ‘Black Mamba’ to ‘Next Level’ and ‘Savage’. aespa’s first mini album ‘Savage’ debuted at No.20 on Billboard 200, the highest ranking in history for the first album of any K-pop girl group.
