Seo Ye-ji, who was embroiled in gaslighting controversy, will return to the small screen through tvN’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “Eve” (written by Yoon Young-mi/ directed by Park Bong-seop), which was confirmed to air this May.
According to reports by DongA.com, “Eve”, the return work of Seo Ye-ji, will be aired as a follow-up series to tvN’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “The Murderer’s Shopping List” (directed by Lee Eon-hee/ written by Han Ji-wan) in May. Since this drama was produced with an aim to air this year from the beginning, its broadcasting time was scheduled to be around May to June. And as expected, the drama is getting ready to meet the viewers with its official broadcasting time to be confirmed soon.
“Eve” tells about the revenge that has been planned for 13 years. This drama will show the most intense and fatally revenge that will destroy the top 0.1% class of Korea. Park Byung-eun will play his first leading role since his debut in this drama. It is at the same time drawing keen attention as the return work of Seo Ye-ji. The work itself seems to be a fresh drama with an interesting story, but the only problem is the fact that people are paying more attention to Seo Ye-ji, causing a big obstacle to the drama. Because of the actress, a boycott wave from the viewers might occur.
Last year, Seo Ye-ji was blamed for Kim Jung-hyun’s dropping out of the 2018 drama “Time”. Controversies arose as Seo Ye-ji was accused of gaslighting her ex-lover Kim Jung-hyun. Later, both Seo Ye-ji and Kim Jung-hyun admitted that they were dating at the time of the drama filming for “Time”, but stressed that their relationship did not affect the work negatively. Kim Jung-hyun mentioned health problems as the reason he withdrew from the project at that time.
However, in addition to this issue, several suspicions surrounding Seo Ye-ji have surfaced, including school violence, bullying, and forgery of academic records.
