Actress Mentioned Affair with Married Man: “I Was Too Selfish At The Time”

A Hong Kong actress has addressed the controversy surrounding her extramarital affair after four years

On December 12 (local time), the Chinese media “iToday” released an interview conducted with Jacqueline Wong.

In 2019, Jacqueline Wong faced criticism when a video of her engaging in an illicit affair with married singer Andy Hui was exposed. In the video, the two shared over 20 kisses inside a moving car and embraced each other.

Afterwards, Andy Hui held a press conference, sincerely apologizing to all who supported him and expressing his apologies to his wife.

In contrast, Jacqueline Wong had avoided the issue and announced her marriage to band drummer Lai Manwang in October. Only now, 4 years later, did the actress finally reveal her stance on the affair.

Particularly, when asked about the past few years and how she has been, Jacqueline Wong tearfully stated, “I’ve had a huge and impactful experience. I often feel that it’s the most significant lesson that money can’t buy.”

She continued, “I was too selfish at that time. Now, I’ve realized that everything has causes and effects. Before doing anything, I will consider the consequences, and I will no longer engage in any action that impacts or hurts others.”

She also expressed gratitude to her current husband, who, at the time of the incident, helped her overcome the slump she was in.

After being absent from the Hong Kong entertainment industry for four years, Jacqueline Wong released a new song titled “I Sleep”, which she personally wrote and composed, on December 7.
