Joo Hyun Young shares how she joined arts school because of Suzy and her positive life philosophy.
On the episode of tvN’s ‘You Quiz On The Block’ that aired on July 19th, actress Joo Hyun Young made a guest appearance and shared various stories.
Joo Hyun Young said, “I used to play the piano and was active as an accompanist at church. But the practice process was not fun. While searching for something interesting, representatives from an art high school visited my school.“
She continued, “When I saw them, Suzy was among the representatives. As soon as I saw her, I applied as if I was possessed.“
Joo Hyun Young also talked about her past experience of challenging to become an idol.
She said, “I failed the JYP audition in the first round, but I went wearing red glasses and a school uniform, and sang Seo In Young’s ‘Please Let Me Know.’ I really liked G-Dragon and wanted to meet him.“
She recalled, “I also worked as a server in a Japanese restaurant, sold baby food at a baby fair, and worked at a large mart’s fruit tasting corner.”
Joo Hyun Young shared her life philosophy, “It might sound cliché, but my motto is to always think positively. If you can’t avoid it, enjoy it, and if you can avoid it, then avoid it.”
She added, “That’s why I don’t have big worries. I don’t like to complicate things, so I just try to enjoy my activities with that mindset.“
