Sad news of Jung Joong Ji was delivered today.
On September 20, Jung Joong Ji’s mother announced the news of his death through Twitter. According to his mother, Jung Joong Ji committed suicide on September 9th. His funeral was held on September 11th. The detailed reason for his death was not disclosed.
Jung Joong Ji participated in Mnet’s “Produce 101” season 2, which aired in 2017, as a trainee from WayZ Company. Even before his appearance on the survival show, he gained popularity for his “boyfriend material” photos showing off his warm visuals on social media such as Facebook.
Jung Joong Ji was also active as an actor by appearing in the plays “Prison” and “The Essence of Love”. In 2017, he won the Hanbit Award in the actor category hosted by the Hallyu Selection Organizing Committee. In 2018, he held his first fan meeting.
