Actor Kim Seon Ho won the Outstanding Korean Actor Award in the Hallyu Drama category.
On September 22nd, the 2022 Seoul Drama Awards was held at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. Here, actor Joo Sang Wook and Apink member and actress Jung Eun Ji were in charge of hosting.
At this award ceremony, the Outstanding Korean Actor Award and the Outstanding Actress Award were selected through votes from Hallyu fans around the world without evaluation by judges. Among them, Kim Seon Ho with his performance in “Hometown Cha Cha Cha” took first place with more than half of the total votes (53.4%) and proudly took the honor to win the Outstanding Korean Actor Award.
On this day, Kim Seon Ho did not attend the awards ceremony because of his schedule. He said through a video that, “I sincerely apologize for saying hello via video due to my scheduled schedule.”
He also added, “Thank you so much for loving ‘Hometown Cha Cha Cha’. I love you, and thank you once again.”
“This award is given to not only me but also to all the staff, actors, and directors who worked so hard for our drama. Thanks to everyone who supports us. I’m here as an actor and I think our drama shines bright. I will work harder to become a better actor,” he concluded, thanking fans again.
