Fans suspect the alleged dating evidence between V and Jennie were fabricated.
Earlier this week, Twitter user @gurumiharibo made two viral posts by sharing two unseen photos claimed to be of BTS’s V and BLACKPINK’s Jennie, raising the dating rumors between the two top idols once again.
While netizens are confused as to whether these two photos were real or edited, many fans of V and Jennie have pointed out the abnormalities in the photos to protect their idols.
In the first photo, fans pointed out an abnormality at the shooting angle. In the reflection of the mirror, the shooting distance of the woman holding the phone, believed to be Jennie, is farther than the outside distance (from V’s shoulder). Next is Jennie’s hair, which looks longer and straighter than real hair. The length of the shadow of her hair may be due to the light from above, but the hair shape does not match, causing confusion.
The second photo is assumed to be taken at V’s apartment. However, fans have pointed out several fake details in this photo, preserving the argument that it has been photoshopped.
Regardless of all these proofs, however, some netizens still insisted that the two photos cannot be edited, as there is no original footage. In contrast, others argued that it’s possible to use various elements from various different photos, like using other people with similar frames, then changing the face, hair, and accessories.
At the moment, V is in New York for his personal schedule, while Jennie is busy preparing for BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom” stage at the MTV VMA.
Despite the rising rumors doing quite a number of harm on Jennie and V, especially when it comes to their privacy, both BigHit Music and YG Entertainment still remain silent, neither confirming nor refuting anything. Fans and reports alike are constantly asking for an official statement, a countermeasure, or at least, a claim that the artists will be protected.
