A Chinese idol screamed and got angry when Park Myung-soo recommended her to appear on his show

(G)I-DLE Yuqi (Song Yuqi, 22) was furious at Park Myung-soo’s recommendation to appear on a TV show.

On May 6th, Park Myung-soo uploaded a video on his YouTube channel.

In the released video, (G)I-DLE members Miyeon and Yuqi appeared and performed with Park Myung-soo.

In the video, Park Myung-soo asked Yuqi, “Do you have any song that comes to your mind when you think of spring?” Yuqi replied, “When spring comes, I think of songs that go well with me. There’s this song called ‘Tomboy’…”

Park Myung-soo could not understand the words well because Chinese girl Yuqi’s pronunciation was inaccurate. He said, “Jaurim? Why bring up ‘Tomboy’ when we are talking about Jaurim?” Miyeon explained, “Not ‘Jaurim’, but ‘jaleoulrineun’. Song that is ‘well suited’. Please understand, she’s a foreigner.”

Park Myung-soo was very surprised to hear this and praised, “Really? But, her Korean is so good.” Yuqi was full of herself, “I’m sometimes surprised myself.” Park Myung-soo told Yuqi, “You should come on ‘South Korean Foreigners’.” He also apologized for not noticing that she was a foreigner.

But Yuqi’s reaction was unexpected. When Yuqi heard Park Myung-soo’s words, she got angry and shouted “I did. I was there!”, embarrassing Park Myung-soo. Park Myung-soo has been hosting MBC Every1’s entertainment show “South Korean Foreigners” since 2018.
