Lee Yeon Hee and Go Ara became famous for their pretty faces through the SM Entertainment Best Youth contest.
The winners of this contest usually debuted under SM, but did you know that there is an unexpected person who did not?
Surprisingly, in the first year of middle school, he participated in the SM Entertainment Best Youth contest with his mother’s intention to make him give up his dream of becoming a celebrity. His mother thought he would give up his dream if he was eliminated, but he suddenly won the Popularity Award.
Eventually, after uploading an application video to JYP in his third year, he won first place in the audition and signed a contract with the company. He worked under the name “Jr.” at the beginning of his debut because he had the same name as “J. Y. Park” jyp.
He has been active under his real name “Park Jin Young” since 2016. He received favorable reviews for his role as Yoo Babi in “Yumi’s Cells”. This year, he acted as a voice cast for the lead role of “Princess Aya” following Netflix’s film “Yaksha: Ruthless Operations”.
Park Jin Young, who has been active between the small and big screen, will appear in “A Christmas Carol” (will be released on Dec 7th), which is based on a novel of the same name.
“A Christmas Carol” tells the story of “Il Woo”, who enters the juvenile detention center to take revenge after his twin brother “Wol Woo” is found dead on Christmas morning. Jin Young will play a double role.
