On July 26, Namgoong Min’s agency, NKM Film, confirmed to local media that the couple had welcomed a baby boy. The agency also stated that both the mother and the newborn are in good health.
Namgoong Min, born in March 1978, is currently 48 years old, while Jin Ah Reum, born in November 1989, is 36. The couple first met when Jin Ah Reum appeared in the film Light My Fire, which Namgoong Min directed. After dating for seven years, they tied the knot in 2022. In June this year, they announced that they were expecting their first child.
With the birth of their son, the couple has become parents for the first time after four years of marriage. Many netizens celebrated the news, leaving messages such as, “They’ve finally become parents,” and “Congratulations to the happy family.”
Namgoong Min made his acting debut in 1999 through the EBS youth drama Ne Kkum-eul Pyeolchyeora (Spread Your Dreams). He later rose to prominence through numerous hit dramas, including Pearl Necklace, My Rosy Life, Listen to My Heart, Remember, Good Manager, Doctor Prisoner, Hot Stove League, One Dollar Lawyer, and My Dearest. He is currently starring in the KBS2 weekend drama The Husband.
Jin Ah Reum debuted as a model in 2008 before expanding into acting. She has appeared in films including Troubleshooter, How to Use Guys with Secret Tips, and Planck Constant.
