On the July 26 episode of SBS’s variety show My Little Old Boy, viewers got a glimpse into Min Do Hee’s daily life. During the broadcast, Kim Sung Kyun and Baro, who starred alongside her in the tvN drama Reply 1994, visited her home.

Looking back on filming the hit drama, Min Do Hee shared, “I was 20 years old at the time.” Since Kim Sung Kyun was 14 years older than her, she admitted that she initially thought he was “a scary older man.”

Kim Sung Kyun recalled feeling guilty because Min Do Hee was so young during filming. Baro added, “Do Hee even said she had never dated before. Sung Kyun hyung kept saying he felt sorry.”

Min Do Hee then revealed that Kim Sung Kyun was her very first on-screen kissing partner after becoming an adult. “We had to film on a boat, and I suffered from really bad seasickness,” she explained. “We had to shoot the scene exactly at sunrise.”

Kim Sung Kyun noted that the sunrise only lasted for a brief moment. “If we missed that timing, there was no way to film it again,” he said, describing the pressure of capturing the scene. Min Do Hee surprised everyone by confessing, “As soon as we finished filming the kissing scene, I threw up,” drawing laughter from the cast and studio audience.

In response, Kim Sung Kyun joked, “She had incredible patience. She could have thrown up before the kiss, but she held it in until the scene was over.” Min Do Hee then playfully exposed another detail, saying, “The day before filming the kiss, Sung Kyun oppa ate a huge amount of garlic at a seafood restaurant,” sending everyone into laughter.

Min Do Hee and Kim Sung Kyun won viewers’ hearts as an on-screen couple in the 2013 drama Reply 1994. Even 13 years after the series ended, the two actors have maintained a close friendship, delighting fans with their enduring bond.
