NewJeans is once again at the center of industry buzz, as analysts predict the group may return to the music scene before October, despite ongoing uncertainty surrounding their lineup and future activities.
According to a recent entertainment market report released on June 10 by Hana Securities analyst Lee Ki Hoon, NewJeans was identified as one of the key artists expected to influence HYBE’s future business performance. The analyst suggested that the group could potentially resume activities within the next few months, possibly in a new format.
Lee projected that NewJeans may return as a four-member team no later than October, describing the possibility as highly likely. He also noted that, as one of the most influential fourth-generation K-pop acts, the group’s eventual comeback could play a significant role in boosting HYBE’s overall momentum.
However, neither HYBE nor ADOR has officially confirmed any plans regarding NewJeans’ next release, including its timing, concept, or participating members.
Recent reports tied to ADOR have only indicated that members were involved in pre-production work in Copenhagen. Some sources claimed select members took part in recording sessions, but uncertainty surrounding the group’s full lineup continues to fuel speculation, especially amid questions about individual contract situations and future participation.
Beyond comeback discussions, the report also painted a larger picture of HYBE’s long-term growth strategy. Analysts forecast that several of the company’s major acts including NewJeans could contribute to major global touring revenue by 2028 as the entertainment market stabilizes and expands.
The projection estimated that large-scale tours by artists such as SEVENTEEN, NewJeans, KATSEYE, and other HYBE-affiliated acts could potentially generate hundreds of billions of won in additional revenue over the coming years.
Despite the growing speculation, industry observers emphasize that these forecasts remain predictions rather than confirmed plans. For now, fans are still waiting for an official announcement regarding when and in what form NewJeans will make their long-awaited return.
