On June 5, the Seoul Central District Court granted the injunction request filed by Eunha, SinB, and Umji, suspending their contracts with the agency until the main lawsuit reaches a final ruling.
The decision allows the three members to continue entertainment activities independently while the legal battle is ongoing. Big Planet Made is also prohibited from negotiating contracts on their behalf against their wishes, forcing them to participate in activities, or asking third parties to block their work.
VIVIZ notified the company of contract termination on March 4, citing unpaid settlement money, insufficient management support, and a breakdown of trust between the two sides. According to the ruling, the court found that each member was owed more than 100 million won. It concluded that the agency had likely violated its obligation to pay the group properly.
Big Planet Made reportedly argued that payments had been affected by an outside attempt to take over management control and by false reports involving Chairwoman Cha Ga-won. However, the court rejected that explanation, stating that those matters were unrelated to the VIVIZ members.
The agency’s accounting records also became a key issue. The court noted that the settlement documents included only basic revenue and expense figures, without supporting materials such as receipts or tax invoices. Attorney Woo Hong-kyun of Shinwon Law Firm, who represents VIVIZ, said the court had accepted the members’ request in full. He also stated that the unpaid amount mentioned in the injunction decision represented only part of the total and that additional claims would be pursued in the main lawsuit.
Eunha, SinB, and Umji redebuted as VIVIZ after GFRIEND’s activities ended in 2021. They signed with Big Planet Made in February 2022. Although the injunction is not the final judgment, it gives VIVIZ temporary freedom from the agency’s control and opens the door for the members to plan their next activities independently.
