According to a report published on June 5, Hyolyn has regained her condition after receiving treatment and adequate rest during her hospital stay. She was discharged from the hospital on the same day after spending nine days under medical care.
The unexpected health issue first became public on May 27, when Hyolyn’s agency, ReH Entertainment, announced that she would be unable to attend the upcoming Fubon Guardians G! POP Music Festival in Taipei, Taiwan. At the time, the agency released an official statement explaining that the singer had encountered unavoidable circumstances that made it impossible for her to participate in the event, which was scheduled for May 30.

Hyolyn had originally planned to perform on stage as scheduled. However, after discussions regarding whether she could proceed with the appearance, the company ultimately prioritized the artist’s health and decided to withdraw her from the event.
In its statement, ReH Entertainment revealed that Hyolyn had been transported to a hospital following a sudden emergency situation. The agency explained: “The artist was taken to the hospital due to a sudden emergency and, according to medical professionals, requires hospitalization, treatment, and sufficient rest as the top priority.” The company added that after carefully considering her health condition and safety, it decided to cancel her participation in the festival.

ReH Entertainment also expressed its sincere apologies to Taiwanese fans who had been eagerly anticipating Hyolyn’s performance, as well as to the Fubon Guardians organization and event staff who had worked hard to prepare for the festival. The agency stated that Hyolyn was especially disappointed because she had been looking forward to meeting fans through the event. It added that the singer would focus fully on her treatment and recovery in order to return in good health as soon as possible.

Hyolyn debuted in 2010 as a member of the girl group SISTAR with the single album Push Push. The group rose to fame with a string of hit songs including Loving U, Touch My Body, Shake It, and So Cool. Widely known as one of K-pop’s original “Summer Queens,” SISTAR enjoyed immense popularity before disbanding in 2017. Since then, Hyolyn has continued to build a successful solo career, showcasing her powerful vocals and stage presence through various music releases and performances.
With her recent discharge from the hospital, fans will undoubtedly be relieved to hear that the singer is steadily recovering and focusing on regaining her health.
