Jang Wonyoung is once again becoming a hot topic online after accidentally revealing parts of her ultra-luxurious home through recent Instagram photos.

The IVE member recently uploaded casual lifestyle pictures to social media, but fans quickly became distracted by the massive living room visible in the background. The spacious interior immediately sparked reactions across online communities, with many netizens joking that the room looked “big enough to play soccer in.”

Comments such as “This looks more like a hotel lobby,” and “You could probably get lost living there alone” quickly spread online as screenshots of the photos circulated.

However, the most talked-about detail was not just the enormous apartment itself — but the designer sofa Wonyoung was lounging on.

According to online discussions, the furniture is believed to be the iconic Dune modular sofa designed by legendary French designer Pierre Paulin. Originally created in the 1970s, the luxury piece is famous for its landscape-inspired curves and high-density foam structure that allows endless modular customization.

The sofa is considered one of the most prestigious collector’s items in modern furniture design, with celebrities including Justin Bieber also reportedly owning the same model.

Because the Dune sofa is sold through custom modular configurations, its price varies significantly depending on size. Online estimates suggest Wonyoung’s setup could cost between $150,000 and $200,000 USD — approximately 4.8 to 6.4 million TWD — leading many fans to joke that “it’s not a sofa, it’s basically artwork.”

Interest in the idol’s residence also resurfaced because Korean media previously reported in March 2025 that Wonyoung had allegedly purchased a luxury villa in Seoul’s Hannam-dong area for approximately 13.7 billion KRW.

The property, reportedly located inside the prestigious UN Village residential district, spans around 244 square meters and is known for its extreme privacy, panoramic views of the Han River and Namsan, and exclusive celebrity residents. Reports claimed the transaction was completed without a mortgage, fueling speculation that the star paid entirely in cash.

At the time, Wonyoung’s agency responded that the luxurious home was intended for family living purposes.

As one of the most successful fourth-generation K-pop idols, Jang Wonyoung has consistently attracted attention not only for her visuals and popularity, but also for her luxury fashion endorsements, brand reputation, and elite celebrity lifestyle.
