On May 18, Disney+ confirmed that Moving Season 2, the follow-up to the globally successful Korean action hero series Moving, recently started production. The new season continues the story after the “Jeongwon High School incident,” following superpowered individuals who have returned to their ordinary lives before facing a new crisis that forces them to protect their loved ones once again.
Writer Kang Full, who previously worked on Moving and Light Shop, returns to write the script for his third consecutive series adaptation. Directing the new season is Kim Sung Hoon, known for works including Kingdom, Ransomed, Tunnel, and A Hard Day.
Several fan-favorite cast members from Season 1 are returning, including Ryu Seung Ryong, Han Hyo Joo, Jo In Sung, Cha Tae Hyun, Ryoo Seung Bum, Go Youn Jung, Kim Do Hoon, Kim Sung Kyun, Shim Dal Gi, Moon Sung Keun, Kim Jong Soo, Park Byung Eun, Kim Shin Rok, Lee Ho Jung, Park Kwang Jae, Kim Gook Hee, Kim Hee Won, Shin Jae Hwi, and Park Han Sol.

The upcoming season will also introduce new cast members including Won Gyu Bin, Sol Kyung Gu, Lee Hee Joon, Ryu Hye Young, Roh Yoon Seo, Kim Sung Kyu, Kim Gun Woo, and Choi Yoon Ji.
In particular, rookie actor Won Gyu Bin has drawn attention after joining the series as Kim Bong Seok, one of the most beloved characters from Season 1. Managed by NNE, Won Gyu Bin made his acting debut in the 2025 drama Bitch X Rich 2, where he gained recognition for his stable acting skills and strong screen presence.

Carol Choi, Executive Vice President of Original Content Strategy for Asia-Pacific at The Walt Disney Company, shared, “’Moving‘ demonstrated how powerful Korean storytelling can resonate with global audiences when combined with strong emotional depth and expanded-scale production. Building on that success, we hope to continue collaborating with our creative partners to further expand the world of ‘Moving’ for fans around the world.”
Writer Kang Full also expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m thankful to all the actors and staff who joined us. I hope we can create an even better project together.”

Director Kim Sung Hoon added, “Season 2 became possible thanks to the production team who created the beloved first season of ‘Moving.’ We plan to try many different things this time as well.”
When it was first released, Moving became the most-watched Korean original series on Hulu during its debut week based on viewing hours in the United States. The series was also nominated for Best Foreign Language Series at the 29th Critics’ Choice Awards and continued its award-winning streak at ceremonies including the 2023 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards, the 59th Grand Bell Awards, the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards, and the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards.
