A growing controversy involving Thailand’s powerful Singha family has now expanded into the entertainment industry, with over 50 Thai celebrities and influencers facing public backlash after appearing to support Pi Sunith Scott amid shocking abuse allegations.
The scandal first erupted on May 10 when Psi Scott accused his older brother, Pi Sunith Scott — heir to the Singha business family and husband of Thai actress Mild Lapassalan — of sexually abusing him starting at age 12 and continuing for years. Psi Scott further alleged that family members were aware of the situation but chose to remain silent.

Pi Sunith Scott later denied all allegations through posts shared by Mild Lapassalan, including legal documents and statements defending himself. However, controversy intensified after Psi Scott released an alleged audio recording that he claimed exposed his brother’s actions.
Attention quickly shifted toward dozens of Thai celebrities and KOLs who had liked or interacted with the defense posts. According to reports, around 50 public figures became targets of criticism for seemingly supporting Pi Sunith Scott during such a serious controversy. The list reportedly included major Thai entertainment stars such as Kimmy Kimberley, Mario Maurer, Baifern Pimchanok, Tay Tawan, Off Jumpol, Zee Pruk, and rapper MILLI.

As criticism escalated online, several stars publicly apologized.
Tay Tawan clarified that he only liked the post to support Mild Lapassalan during a difficult time and stressed that he did not support domestic violence or abuse in any form. Meanwhile, Zee Pruk explained that he often casually likes posts from people he follows without intending to take sides. MILLI also issued an apology, saying her interaction with the post unintentionally created misunderstanding.

Most of the celebrities involved have since removed their likes from the controversial posts, though many continue to receive criticism from the public.
The scandal has become one of Thailand’s most talked-about entertainment stories due to both the severity of the allegations and the Singha family’s immense influence in Thai society.
At the center of the storm, Mild Lapassalan has also faced intense scrutiny online despite currently being pregnant with her first child. Her social media accounts reportedly became flooded with comments demanding that she address the controversy publicly.

However, some netizens have defended the actress, arguing that if the allegations are true, the issue concerns events that allegedly happened within her husband’s family long before her marriage. Supporters have also pointed out that Mild only married Pi Sunith Scott last year and may not have been involved in the situation described by Psi Scott.
