According to recent reports from Koreaboo, speculation surrounding V and Jennie reignited after fans discovered what they believe to be “couple fashion” evidence between the two global stars.
The discussion reportedly began after netizens compared old and recent photos of the pair. In 2025, Jennie appeared in a video wearing a striped shirt layered with a brown cardigan and dark brown pants. More recently, during his U.S. tour schedule, V was spotted wearing a strikingly similar striped shirt paired with pants in almost the same color palette.
Although the outfits were worn nearly a year apart, some fans claimed this could actually suggest the rumored couple intentionally avoided attention by wearing matching fashion items at different times. The theory quickly spread across online communities and social media platforms.
A portion of fans now believe Jennie and V may have rekindled their romance after rumored breakup reports surfaced at the end of 2023. According to these supporters, the alleged relationship has become even stronger after their supposed reconciliation.
However, the situation became even more chaotic after V was recently dragged into separate dating rumors involving IVE member Jang Won Young.
Speculation surrounding V and Jang Won Young first began circulating last year when fans noticed the two stars posting photos from what appeared to be the same restaurant in Seoul just one day apart. Internet detectives later pointed to additional “evidence,” including similar marble table patterns appearing in their food photos and references to a noodle restaurant reportedly favored by V.
Earlier this month, rumors escalated further after the two idols uploaded photos involving chocolate waffles within roughly ten hours of each other. Some fans interpreted the posts as a subtle “lovestagram” interaction.
Another moment that fueled discussion was Jang Won Young’s appearance at a BTS concert in April. Some online users claimed it was unusual because the IVE member had reportedly never attended another K-pop group’s concert publicly before, leading to speculation she attended specifically to support V.
As rumors involving both Jennie and Jang Won Young spread simultaneously, online communities quickly became divided. Some netizens criticized V and questioned whether the BTS star was being “too flirtatious” or emotionally inconsistent. Others even used the term “red flag” while discussing the situation.
Still, many fans strongly defended the idol and argued that none of the so-called evidence proves an actual relationship exists. According to supporters, the rumors rely heavily on coincidence, fan imagination and overanalyzed social media activity rather than concrete facts.
Fans also criticized the growing culture of “shipping” celebrities together based on minimal interactions or similar posts, saying some fan communities have crossed personal boundaries by aggressively connecting V with multiple female idols at once.
As of now, neither HYBE nor YG Entertainment has issued any official response regarding the latest dating speculation.
