On May 10, the YouTube channel MUZE uploaded a new video titled “I Went To Bookstores In Tokyo.” In the vlog, Park Jung Min documented his business trip to Tokyo for publishing-related work.
The actor explained that he had meetings with various Japanese publishers and editors before finally getting a free day to explore bookstores in Ginza.
While walking through the streets of Tokyo, Park Jung Min noticed what appeared to be an election poster featuring a woman. Curious about the unusual design, he tried using an image translation app on his phone to understand the Japanese text.

However, things quickly became awkward.
“Something really embarrassing happened yesterday,” Park Jung Min recalled. “I saw what looked like election posters on the street, and there was a poster of a woman, so I used an image translator to check it out. Then suddenly someone next to me said, ‘Hello?’”

When he turned around, he discovered that the person speaking to him was actually a Korean woman accompanied by what appeared to be her daughter.
According to Park Jung Min, the woman jokingly asked whether he was taking photos because he thought the politician on the poster was pretty.
“I awkwardly tried to explain that the poster just looked so random,” he said with laughter.
The funny moment did not end there.

Park Jung Min revealed that the Korean woman introduced him to her daughter as the “Goodbye Bye uncle,” referencing his appearance in the film Smugglers and his memorable line from promotions.
Even more surprisingly, the child confidently responded: “I know him too.”
The actor said he immediately lowered his phone in embarrassment and politely sent them off.
Park Jung Min later explained why the poster stood out so much among the other election advertisements.

“Other candidates had campaign promises written on theirs, but this one had a pink-toned photo with dogs, cats, and even an SNS QR code,” he said. “Wasn’t that surprising?”
His candid storytelling and self-deprecating humor quickly amused viewers online, with many praising the actor’s relatable personality.
Known for balancing serious acting performances with witty real-life charm, Park Jung Min once again showed fans why he remains one of Korea’s most beloved actors.
