Recently, a video titled “Running Into Eric Nam on the Street and Starting an Impromptu Busking Session” was uploaded to the YouTube channel “JAYKEEOUT.” In the clip, Eric Nam reunited with his longtime acquaintance Jay, sharing updates about his life while candidly opening up about his past struggles.
Looking back on the period when he was actively promoting in Korea, Eric Nam confessed, “Despite appearing bright on the outside, I suffered from extreme loneliness and mental stress.” He revealed that he developed panic disorder, which led to severe symptoms, including partial physical paralysis. He also shared that he went through an especially difficult period where he survived on porridge alone for about three months.

He went on to explain how these experiences led him to change the direction of his career. Eric Nam has since expanded his activities to the global stage, currently appearing on the U.S. reality show The Traitors. Beyond music, he has also been involved in Hollywood films and series, taking part not only as a performer but also in planning and production.
Despite his global success, he admitted that his current lifestyle is far from easy. Without a manager or staff, Eric Nam travels the world alone to fulfill his schedules. He revealed that for over a year, he has not stayed in one place for more than a week, maintaining an extremely busy routine. He added that the loneliness he feels during this time has become a central theme in his recent album.

Toward the end of the video, Eric Nam was seen holding an impromptu busking session on the street, connecting with fans through live music. He naturally engaged with the audience, showcasing his ability to communicate through his performances.
Meanwhile, Eric Nam debuted in 2013 and continues to expand his career globally, focusing on music tours in the United States while also exploring broadcasting and content production across various fields.
