During a recent Weverse live broadcast, Jimin opened up about his striking new hairstyle introduced in BTS’s latest album “ARIRANG” promotions. The idol shared that his decision to go for long blonde hair extensions wasn’t widely supported: “A lot of people were against it. Almost everyone opposed it. Even the company suggested I cut my hair.”
Suga added that long hair is a highly divisive style, admitting he had tried it before and understood the mixed reactions.
Despite the pushback, Jimin chose to embrace the change: “I wanted to try something new at least once,” he explained, adding with a smile that “the only person who supported me was my mom.”

Jimin also shared a hilarious moment with fellow members J-Hope and V during a trip to Japan.
While visiting a sauna, Jimin said his long hair led to an unexpected reaction: “I bent my head and was rubbing my hair, and the members saw it and said, ‘That’s gross.’”
The candid story had both the members and fans laughing, showing the group’s playful dynamic. Despite initial skepticism, Jimin’s long-hair look has been widely embraced by fans, becoming one of his most talked-about visuals in recent years.
Meanwhile, BTS is currently on their “BTS World Tour ARIRANG,” spanning 12 cities including Mexico City, Las Vegas, and Chicago, with all shows sold out. The tour is set to expand further across Japan and the Middle East, totaling 85 performances in 34 cities worldwide.
