On April 11, BTS held the second night of their new world tour “ARIRANG IN GOYANG” at Goyang Stadium. The concert marked a major milestone: their first full-group tour in nearly four years since “Permission to Dance On Stage” ended in 2022.
With all three shows sold out, the group drew approximately 122,000 fans across the run — proving their global influence remains as strong as ever.
Rather than revisiting past glory, BTS used this tour to introduce a bold new direction — widely referred to as “BTS 2.0.”

The setlist blended tracks from their latest album “ARIRANG” with global hits, but many songs were rearranged to reflect a fresh musical identity. The performance leaned toward stability, freedom, and maturity, moving away from the intense choreography-heavy style of previous tours.
The stage itself embodied this transformation. Inspired by Korean heritage, it featured:
- A pavilion modeled after Gyeonghoeru
- A floor design based on the Taeguk symbol
- Extended stages representing Geon, Gon, Gam, Ri
These elements created a uniquely Korean aesthetic, reinforcing the group’s evolving artistic vision.

Members acknowledged that the changes might feel unfamiliar. Min Yoon-gi (Suga) stated: “We prepared this tour to show new sides of ourselves. Since we tried many new things, it might feel unfamiliar, but please enjoy it until the end.”
As the concert neared its end, the members took time to share heartfelt messages.
Jimin expressed gratitude: “We missed you so much. Thank you for waiting for us. We’ll keep working hard to bring you better music and performances.”

Leader RM delivered the most powerful message of the night: “We are showing many changes, but what truly matters hasn’t changed. The most important thing is that the seven of us decided to continue this together. And our sincerity toward you will never change.”
He added a humble plea: “These are decisions we made after 15 years together, to stay together longer. Please accept these changes with an open mind… just trust us once.”
Jungkook echoed RM’s sentiment with determination: “No matter the situation, everything we say and do for you is sincere. I’ll give everything, even to the point of exhaustion, for you.”

Meanwhile, J-Hope highlighted the group’s dedication behind the scenes: “We constantly think about how to create better memories for you. We discuss, refine, and prepare every detail. That’s how serious we are about our stage.”
Following the Goyang concerts, BTS will continue their world tour across: Japan (Tokyo Dome), North America, Europe, South America and Asia. The tour is set to span 34 cities with 85 shows, marking the largest tour ever by a Korean artist, with additional dates in Japan and the Middle East expected.
The ARIRANG tour is more than just a comeback — it is a declaration.
While the performances showcase undeniable change, the message is clear: BTS are evolving, but their bond — and their sincerity toward fans — remains unshaken.
