On March 9, a behind-the-scenes story from filming with Lee Hyori was shared on the YouTube channel of Oh Ji Hyun, a participant from SBS’s My Heart Is Soft – Monggeul Counseling Center (hereafter Monggeul Counseling Center).
Oh Ji Hyun appeared on SBS’s Monggeul Counseling Center, where she met Lee Hyori every week while receiving dating advice from her during filming. Reflecting on meeting the singer in person, Oh Ji Hyun expressed admiration, saying she was deeply impressed.
“When I saw her in real life, I was amazed. Lee Hyori is so beautiful. What’s fascinating is that even with wrinkles, I don’t know how she can still be so beautiful,” Oh Ji Hyun said. “She’s charismatic and charming, and I don’t know how someone can be that kind. She treats people really well.”
Oh Ji Hyun’s older sister then asked how she ended up calling Lee Hyori “unnie (sister).” Oh Ji Hyun explained that the moment happened naturally while they were shopping together.
“We went shopping together, and I wanted to call her unnie. So I asked, ‘Hyori, is it okay if I call you unnie?’ She said, ‘Of course, why not?’ very coolly. You know her personality,” she recalled. “She even asked, ‘Do you want to take a photo together?’ so we took pictures with Hyori unnie’s phone.”
What surprised many even more was that Lee Hyori later gifted Oh Ji Hyun the coat she had been wearing that day.
Oh Ji Hyun recalled the moment while reenacting Lee Hyori’s tone of voice. “While we were taking photos, the coat she was wearing looked really big. Then she said, ‘You should wear it. It’s too big for me. You wear it.’”
Oh Ji Hyun’s sister added that Ji Hyun still wears the coat she received from Lee Hyori. She even showed a photo of Ji Hyun wearing the gifted coat, saying, “How many people get to walk around wearing clothes given to them by Lee Hyori?”
A caption in the video further caught viewers’ attention, revealing that Lee Hyori reportedly decided she wanted to give the coat to Ji Hyun from the moment she first saw her.
Oh Ji Hyun also shared heartfelt words about Lee Hyori, describing her personality warmly. “She’s refreshing like soda, kind, and warm like sunshine. She feels just like our older sister,” she said.
She ended the video with a loving message directed to Lee Hyori and her husband Lee Sang Soon. “Hyori unnie, Sang Soon oppa (brother), are you both doing well? Thank you so much for always supporting me, coaching me, and encouraging me kindly so that I can do well in dating. I hope both of you stay happy and healthy every single day of the year. Let’s meet again later. I miss you.”

In the show, Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon appear as the heads of the counseling center, offering guidance and cheering on the participants’ journeys in love.
