On February 26, a post titled “It Seems Min Hee Jin Recently Sued Malicious Commenters” appeared on an online community. The author, identified as A, claimed, “I was sued in civil court by former CEO Min Hee Jin,” adding that they had received a complaint after leaving a comment on a past post related to Min.
According to A, the original comment now deleted read, “She’s X who uses situations to her advantage depending on circumstances, which makes her the most dangerous type.” A stated that they were subsequently served with a civil lawsuit seeking 4 million KRW in damages.

A further wrote, “The original comment has been deleted, and I’m being sued for 4 million KRW in civil court. I’m worried whether criminal charges will also follow.” They continued, “Looking at previous articles and cases related to this person, civil lawsuits usually result in compensation in the hundreds of thousands of won unless the comments are extremely severe, so I’m not overly worried about that. But if a criminal case is filed, I’m concerned that my workplace could be notified.”
Min Hee Jin has previously taken legal action against malicious commenters and secured court victories. In November last year, the Seoul Western District Court’s Civil Division 12 (Judge Lee Kwan Hyung) partially ruled in her favor in a damages lawsuit against six individuals accused of posting defamatory comments online.

At the time, the court ordered five of the defendants to pay 100,000 KRW each and one defendant to pay 200,000 KRW in compensation. Min’s legal team had originally sought 300,000 KRW per person, arguing that the commenters had committed defamation and insult in online spaces.
Meanwhile, Min continues her ongoing legal battle with HYBE. On February 25, she proposed giving up the 25.6 billion KRW she was awarded in the first trial related to her put option claim, in exchange for both parties halting all ongoing civil and criminal litigation.
