Comedian and broadcaster Park Na Rae is set to return to television just two months after halting her activities, as Disney+ officially unveiled the poster and teaser for its new variety show Battle of Fates. On February 9, the production team described the program as “a world-first challenge featuring shocking missions that break taboos, where Korea’s fortune experts engage in a fierce, all-out battle,” heightening anticipation ahead of its release.

The newly released poster showcases 49 renowned fortune tellers from diverse disciplines including tarot reading, Four Pillars astrology, shamanism, and physiognomy each interpreting fate through their own unique methods. Symbolic objects such as tarot cards, rice, magnifying glasses, fans, and crystal balls visually represent their specialties, signaling the beginning of an epic psychological and strategic showdown. The teaser further intensifies the atmosphere, capturing moments of escalating tension as the competition begins in earnest. Faced with missions described as unprecedented and dangerously extreme, participants are heard reacting in shock, with one declaring resolutely, “Let’s die once,” underscoring the show’s high-stakes nature.

Battle of Fates is a survival-style variety program where 49 fortune experts test their own destinies through a series of missions. The fixed cast includes Jun Hyun Moo, Park Na Rae, Park Ha Sun, Super Junior’s Shindong, and Kang Ji Young. Notably, this marks Park Na Rae’s first public appearance following her suspension of activities in December 2025 amid legal disputes involving former managers and allegations related to illegal proxy prescriptions. It has been reported that filming for the show was completed prior to her announcing the hiatus.

Addressing concerns over potential editing, the production team stated that Battle of Fates focuses on large-scale competition among many participants, clarifying that Park Na Rae appears as one of several panel members and will not be entirely edited out despite recent controversies. However, her presence was not visible in the initial teaser, which instead highlighted other cast members and hosts.
Disney+’s Battle of Fates will premiere with four episodes on February 11, followed by the release of a total of 10 episodes over four weeks. As Park Na Rae cautiously steps back into the spotlight, viewers are watching closely to see how her return unfolds within this intense and unconventional survival format.
