On February 3, Kwon Eun-bi shared several photos on her personal social media account. The images showed close-up shots of parts of her face, including her nose and upper lip, where visible damage from the burns could be seen, drawing concern from fans.

Explaining the situation, Kwon Eun-bi wrote, “These look like dermatology clinic photos, but it’s actually my face. After climbing Kilimanjaro, I got second-degree burns on my nose and lips. I applied ointment every single day without missing a day and kept the area covered.”

She added that even after some time had passed, she experienced lingering issues, saying, “As time went by, my face darkened, pigmentation appeared, and there was redness. But it is getting better now.”

In a final update, she shared a photo showing her skin largely restored to its original condition and wrote reassuringly, “It’s back. My nose.”

Previously, Kwon Eun-bi took on the Mount Kilimanjaro challenge alongside broadcaster Noh Hong-chul and actress Lee Si-young, drawing attention for the ambitious expedition.
